Hi I'm Alexis!

If you're wondering what kind of person you're trusting to capture some of your most special moments, you're probably like most people! I love getting to know my clients and their stories, and thought it would be nice to have a way for you to feel like you know me too! I think knowing some things about me help my clients to feel that much more comfortable going into their session.

I am a wife to my high school sweetheart, and mom to 5 beautiful little humans. I grew up in Colorado but moved to Florida when I was 16, and instantly fell in love with this state. I've lived here for over 14 years now and can't imagine calling anywhere else my home. Whether I'm at a session or have a day off, you'll most likely find me at the beach! 

I have been passionate about photography since the beginning of high school when I took my first film and development class. I have always loved being able to see something so beautiful and have a way to capture it, and it brings me so much joy to see how creative I can be with different perspectives and lighting. 

Once I became a mom, photography grew to a whole new level of importance for me. I had always loved capturing scenes and nature, but once I realized how quickly babies and toddlers grow, I grew my passion for capturing small moments and tiny details between my own family and kids, and eventually in 2017 I started capturing those details for other people as well. I believe me being a mom myself plays a huge part in the way I view families and childhood and making sure I capture even the tiniest of details. 

Besides photography and motherhood, I am also passionate about my love for Jesus and I hope the light I have inside me shines bright for every person who meets me. I grew up as an introvert and painfully shy, but I feel like being blessed with the gift of photography and the calling to capture memories for other people have helped me grow into a person who actually finds joy in discovering more about people and sparking up random conversations with my clients. 

Some other random things I can think of:
I homeschool my kids and have for over 5 years now! It's not easy running a business and homeschooling, but it's so worth it to me. I love listening to all types of music and one of my favorite things to do with my husband is go see our favorite artists in concert. I love being home and cozying up with a book and coffee if I'm not at the beach, sea turtles, shelling, and exploring new places. Someday I'd love to travel and see the world but for now I'm just enjoying my 30's and what being a mom and photographer bring to my life!
